Keeper Rules:
Owners may keep up to ONE (1) player from their "end of season" roster as a keeper for the following year.
To be an eligible keeper, the player must have been undrafted or drafted AFTER the 4th round (5th round or later).
Any eligible keeper will be kept one round earlier of where they were drafted the previous year (I.E. - A player drafted in the 6th round of the 2023 season would count towards that owner's 5th round pick of the 2024 season.
Any eligible keeper maintains the same keeper rules even if player is traded, dropped, or added by a different owner.
Any undrafted player picked counts as an 8th round keeper. If you traded away your 8th round pick, the undrafted player becomes your 7th round pick, and so on.
Eligible keepers can NOT be kept for back to back seasons.
If an owner decides to leave the league for any reason, the new owner inherits the old owners team and "end of season" roster. Same keeper rules apply.
Trade Rules:
Trading of players and draft picks ONLY allowed from the start of the current year's draft through the leagues trading deadline (date set in Sleeper App).
NOTE: Trading of eligible keepers and picks NOT ALLOWED during the off-season
There is no limit to the number of players or draft picks by an owner in a given season.
When trading picks, it must be the same number between both owners (I.E. - If an owner is trading away 2 picks, they must receive 2 picks in return)
FAQs:
What happens if I finish the regular season in last place?
You pay an additional cost of the entry fee ($100 as of 2024) that goes towards the current year's total payout.
How is draft order determined?
This changes from year to year but will be announced well in advance (I.E. of past years - Picking from a hat, Open Championship Golf Tournament, Women's World Cup).
NOTE: If as the owner you finish last, you get the 12th position, 2nd to last, 11th position, and so on until first place for 1st position is determined.
What if an owner is unable to attend the draft live or remotely?
The Sleeper App will auto-draft based on "best available" player.
Owner is required to fill a starting roster (1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 FLEX, 1 DEF, 1 K, 1 IDP) prior to drafting any bench spots. If auto-draft selects a position already filled, commissioner will manually select next "best available" position based off ADP.
To avoid auto-draft, owner can provide a detailed list of position per round. This list can be provided to any other owner in the league, preferably an owner furthest away from their own draft spot.
Owner may also designate a substitute to draft on their behalf.
When must you commit to your keeper for the upcoming season?
The commissioner will communicate the due date of when owners must commit to an eligible keeper. This is typically 1 week before the draft.
NOTE: If the eligible keeper gets injured after the deadline and before the draft, the owner has the option to either choose a different eligible keeper or withdrawal their selection.
